Mr. Moto ( Lorre )is after an international smuggling ring run by Nicolas Marloff ( Rumann ). On a freighter to Shanghai he befriends Bob Hitchings Jr. ( Beck ) son of the ship's owner. An agent of Marloff's, Gloria ( Field ), bewitches Bob on the trip, leading to further complications. Great disguises by Moto with good action and nice plot twists. An excellent start to a neat series of international mysteries.
