DESCRIPTION BELOW: The Internationals: Martin de Liefde - (NL) - Lead Guitar Arild Brekken – (N/D) - Bass Andreas Leber - (D) - Rhythm Guitar Kjetil Brekken - (N) - Guest drummer On Thursday the 4th October 2018 Kjetil Brekken (guest drummer) flew in from Norway for a first rehearsal together as a band. At the end of the Friday we held an informal final rehearsal with an audience (mostly friends and family) in the local Rock Club House which provided the drum kit and most of the backline, to try to shake off some bum notes and try out all the (for us) new material. The next day we played the real gig at the 20th Shadows Music Convention in Verden, Germany. This project, which might have been a little ambitious considering the circumstances (band members living in different countries), was to mainly play tunes from The Shadows, but from the 70s and 80s era of their catalog, but also the less played and to the general public also less known ones, where some are more technical than most Shadows tunes from the 60s. We did some changes here and there to compensate for missing keyboards, third guitar, studio overdubs etc. to adapt the tunes to our instrumentation and still try to maintain the main essence of the tune without having the feeling of something really missing. The live versions of some of these Shadows tunes where also preferred over the studio versions. It was all for the fun of it and for the love of The Shadows` music. Sadly due to a technical problem the only recorded sound that was useable was from a „field audio recorder“ that was placed in the room. What you hear is how it actually sounded in the room, hence some audience talking or someone standing in front of the audio recorder at times etc. Editing by Martin de Liefde Special thanks to: The Würg Club - www.wuerg.com and Christian Erbach for the sound Tobias “Wingis“ Struck with team for filming - www.bildfabrik.tv
