Install and Setup Arch Linux on VirtualBox VM for Learning Linux Kernel Development

In this video, I will explain and demonstrate how to setup Arch Linux on VirtualBox VM for learning Linux Kernel Development. The entire installation is automated using my custom scripts for setting up VirtualBox and installing Arch Linux. You can review the scripts and modify to suit your requirements from the following GitHub URL: https://github.com/slashprog/linux-ke... The scripts were tested to work on Windows 11 (x86), MacOS (x86) and Ubuntu (x86). Unfortunately, the scripts will not work for non-x86_64 architectures (like the Mac M1/M2/M3/M4 series and other ARM64 based systems). However, you can fork the scripts and port them to your environment with appropriate customizations. Do note that the automation scripts will install custom shell profiles for the root user (some of which were created by me) with curated packages and tools for kernel development. This was done to setup an easy to use environment for learning Linux Kernel Development as part of my training course.
