This 4-part TUTTI Suite was composed using primarily BBCSO Pro. TUTTI is a follow-up of my earlier released 'BBCSO Pro Six part Orchestral Suite'. On all instruments I'm mainly using the Jake Jackson build-in MIX1 mic setting. The mid-low percussion does get some help from Spitfire Audio Hans Zimmer Percussion and Spitfire Audio Albion One Darwin Percussion Ensemble. The tuning/warming up part also is composed with BBCSO Pro. The 'public' sample was found on the internet, being free footage. Few words on realistic mockups: in my experience it's all about the concept of tweaking the hell out of your sample library. That means spending loads of time automating and tweaking every necessary envelope, untill a musical phrase, track and section matches a desired result. It also helps using a favorite orchestral reference sound to match yours with. I already use this when setting up my template, balancing mics and adding inserts and sends, because I find it very inspiring to start out with a beautiful orchestral sound. Apart from that it's simply also about learning to orchestrate, making orchestral events sound logical and natural in the first place. I learned a lot by creating orchestral arrangements using piano sketches from Scottish traditionals. The video provides a little screenflow of melodic and harmonic events in Cubase Pro, as well as a glimpse of my template. 0:00 – BBCSO Pro tuning/warming up. 0:30 – Part 1 – All Hands on Deck! 1:44 – Part 2 – Waltzing Wanderer 2:55 – Part 3 – Historic Heroic 4:30 – Part 4 – For Those Who Wait Be well, Jeff #oneorchestra #bbcso
