Anna Wilson, the assistant director of Atmospheric River Reconnaissance at CW3E and Andy Martin, team lead for reservoir regulation for the Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, discuss the importance of NOAA's Hurricane Hunters flying into Pacific Ocean atmospheric rivers for research. Both stress the importance of the data gathered and how it is shaping how we look at and forecast AR events.
