'Make Elections Great Again' Act expands GOP push for federal election overhaul

The House Administration Committee held a hearing Tuesday on the newly introduced “Make Elections Great Again Act,” or MEGA Act, sponsored by Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., who chairs the committee. The hearing came just one day before the House is expected to vote on the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship and government-issued photo identification to register to vote.
