Siljan is Sweden’s seventh biggest lake and it’s located in the province of Dalarna. The area surrounding the lake has been called one of the most beautiful places in Sweden. Let's see if that's true. In this video I travel around Siljan and visit the towns of Leksand, Rättvik, Mora and Orsa, and I also pay a visit to various other destinations along the way. Places I visit include the crispbread factory in Leksand, Springkällan in Rättvik, Dalhalla, a Dalecarlian Horse (dalahäst) manufacturer in Nusnäs, Gesundaberget, Orsa Predator Park and two canyones nearby Orsa - Helvetesfallet and Storstupet. This video also tells the history of the province of Dalarna, and discusses its history dating back hundreds of years. You will also get some amazing views of lake Siljan, Gesundaberget, and the wonderful scenery all around the lake.
