In this second lesson with Ty the Cavapoo, we’re laying the foundation for confidence, clarity, and calm behavior. Today we introduced the raised bed — not just as a “place” command, but as a tool for building structure and security. A raised bed gives dogs a clear boundary, helps them understand expectations, and creates a safe space where they can relax instead of constantly scanning their environment. We also focused heavily on confidence building. Ty is learning that he can move through the world with clarity instead of uncertainty. Confidence isn’t created by hype — it’s built through small wins, consistency, and clear communication. Leash skills were another big focus. Instead of pulling, guessing, or reacting, we’re teaching Ty how to stay connected and responsive. Loose leash walking starts long before you step outside — it starts with engagement and trust.
