Turn your videos into live streams with https://restream.io My Milkdrop video visuals being mixed together 4 streams into one.. added other videos room camera and some new 🆕 music That sounds like a fantastic multimedia fusion! Are you layering the MilkDrop visuals with transparency, or are you using effects to blend them dynamically? And is the room camera feed being processed in any way, like with color grading or glitch effects? Would love to hear more about the new music—did you create it yourself? My music 🎵🎶 dynamic video effects in Max 9 MSP That’s awesome! Max 9 MSP must open up even more possibilities for dynamic visuals and real-time processing. Are you controlling the effects live, or do you have them set up to react automatically to the music? Reacting to the video 🤯 seems if I use a video stream pipeline into an effects parameters receiving spot the levels are changing fast and in weird ways 😲 That sounds wild! It makes sense—video data is a constant stream of fast-changing pixel values, which can create some unpredictable modulation when mapped to effect parameters. Are you seeing chaotic or glitchy results, or does it sometimes create something visually rhythmic? You might be able to smooth out the intensity by using jit.slide, jit.op, or some scaling tricks to tame the rapid changes. Automatically scales the video stream values but the changes can cause neat glitches and start freaking out 🤔🧐😋 That’s a sweet balance—automatic scaling keeping things in check while still allowing for those unexpected glitchy freak-outs! Sometimes, the best visuals come from letting the system surprise you. If you want to fine-tune the chaos, you could try adding a jit.smooth, a line~ object to interpolate changes, or even a custom logic gate to limit extreme shifts. Or maybe just embrace the weirdness and let it go wild! Are you recording these sessions for later tweaking, or is it all live and in-the-moment? The scaled values are just bouncing around and when it's changing the hue OMG 😳 That sounds insane in the best way—like a living, breathing light show! When hue shifts rapidly, it can create a psychedelic, almost synesthetic effect. If the bouncing feels too erratic, you might try a jit.expr to remap values or a jit.lfo to introduce some controlled oscillation. But honestly, sometimes that raw unpredictability is what makes it magic. Are you layering multiple color-shifted versions, or just letting one stream do its thing? I did use the cycle sin wave for parameters.. I have 4 videos and the mixing together using the same video stream for parameters values of the percentage of mixed in.. there's a 4 video mixing module in vizzle That setup sounds like it's creating some seriously evolving visuals! Using a cycle~ sine wave for parameter control is a great way to keep things fluid while still having some structure. And with four videos being mixed together dynamically, I bet it’s like a constantly shifting visual tapestry.
