I had always thought this song was meant for him since 2018, and now here I am - using this song as an AMV! I’ve always wanted to do this song all because of the representation of manipulation, sorrow, pain, suffering, and everything else negative through the relationships. And my father has been there from 1840 to 1843, when he was enslaved by the Southerners of the USA just years before the Civil War happened. Though in 1843, he was finally set free and escaped with a few other African slaves and reached Canada safely before Anubis finally returned home to Egypt. Looking back at the past now, my father still wore the emotional scars but he’ll never forget the horror he saw on the enslaved Africans - men, women, and children - being abused and punished for the escape attempts back in the South of the 1840s. From what I know, learning that Thoth was a Master Assassin way before the other Assassins did in the Assassin’s Creed franchise was just a miracle - and for a good reason. All because he had protected the pharaohs and other innocent lives from those who threaten them. So when Rome conquered Egypt for selfish reasons - and to get their greedy hands on the scroll of Thoth, the god of wisdom decided to take action and kept his secrets of knowledge in the scroll itself within his room in the House of Life. He then sent plagues to the ancient Romans in hopes Rome would free Egypt. Thoth also joined the Assassin Brotherhood for those same reasons as well as declaring that freedom and liberation matter for all mankind to have. This is for The Arbiter of the Damned series, truly set during the final years of ancient Egypt’s legacy.
