Oesophageal Metallic Stent Placement at SQUARE HOSPITAL LTD Dhaka Bangladesh

Procedure: Oesophageal Stenting. Indication: Dysphagia. Medication: Under Sedation FINDINGS: OESOPHAGUS: Large ulceroproliferative growth is seen at 20cm from the incisor teeth and extending up to 31cm. The lumen is narrowed at the site of the growth. Pediatric endoscope could be passed through Lower oesophageal sphincter at 35cm from the incisor teeth. A 15cm partially covered oesophageal metal (COOK) stent is placed over guidewire with endoscopic control under fluoroscopic guidance. STOMACH: Fundus, body & antrum examined No food residue foreign body or blood is seen. Fold thickness is normal in fundus & body. There is no ulcer or erosion seen There is no suggestion of gastric vark Stomach shows no polyp or tumor Pylonus is central & shows no edema or scaming DUODENUM: First (D1) & second (D2) part examined No blood in the lumen. There is no suggestion of ulcer, erosion, diverticulum or duodenal scarring. No nodularity, tumori or polyp is seen Mucosal folds in D2 are normal at endoscopy BIOPSY: Not taken. COMMENTS: Ca.
