Classic AMT Star Trek Exploration Set OoB Review by TrekWorks

From TrekWorks Classic AMT Star Trek Exploration Set out of box video review. Although totally in accurate and mostly toy like, this kit is one of my personal favorites. In the early 70's in my youth, there simply wasn't much cool stuff around as far as Star Trek went. Sure, maybe a few corny squirt guns or a cheezy flashlight made to look like a phaser or the Classic Mego line of action figures but that was about it. When the show hit syndication in the mid 70's that's when things really took off. This kit then was about as close as a fan could come in those days to a phaser, communicator and tricorder replica. Now considered a classic and collectors item, I have very fond memories of building several of these kits despite my utter disappointment when seeing the first one out of the box back then. Next to the Enterprise and Klingon Cruiser kits, the Exploration Set was the 3rd best selling kit of the AMT Star Trek Line of Model Kits. Rumor has it that we may see it again released by Round 2 models in a collectors tin edition. If so, this modeler will have to purchase one.
