SPOTIFY: https://spoti.fi/3bgp699 "Green Machine" from Kyuss's "Blues for the Red Sun" album (1992). More Kyuss! This doesn't happen often but I recorded this whole cover in like, 2 takes. The stars and the planets aligned, and it all just kind of happened. Anyway, the verses are not just bends on that 5th fret. Sometimes it's a slide from 3 or 5 and there's even the rare harmonic at some point. I guess I like covering Kyuss because you get to make a filthy fuzzy bass tone that cuts through the mix perfectly. Anyhow, this bass solo is a good example of a solo that isn't difficult, but it still works well. So did Scott Reeder join the band after they released this album or something? His tones are even dirtier than the early Kyuss bass tones. Some important information that nobody is going to read.
