I don't think I was entirely ready to leave Portland yet and return to Massachusetts where it was about 90 degrees! Unfortunately all good things come to an end. Eventually it was our last day in Portland. Since my friends and I were taking a red-eye flight back to Boston, and we didn't have to be at PDX until about 7 PM, we decided to spend the day doing a little bit of sightseeing around Corbett OR. We took the scenic route that led us along the mountains surrounding Mt. Hood and we even stopped for lunch at a nice little town on the side of Mt. Hood. The entire day was filled with breathtaking views and a lot of pictures! When evening came around, we headed back towards Portland and the airport, and stopped for dinner along the way. Checking in at PDX was fairly easy for me because I could check in via the kiosks since I was a member of TrueBlue (JetBlue's rewards program), all I had to do was type in my number and it gave me my boarding pass, and to my l luck, I was available for Pre-check at security, so that was another line I got to avoid. Post-secuirty, my friends and I proceeded to our gate which was occupied by another JetBlue A320 which wore the eye-catching red paint scheme in honor of the New York fire department. We had a solid 3 hours of time to kill at PDX so that was very enjoyable and we all had fun hanging out at an empty Alaska Airlines gate. Around 10:30 I saw our plane was on the downwind for PDX from JFK. It turned out to be N768JB, which was delivered in 2009 and therefore had the more updated cabin interior ex. new window design, seats, overhead bins. Boarding for flight B6-96 started at about 11:25, we pushed back around midnight and departed shortly after that. After looking at all the "pretty lights" I decided to shut my window shade and try to get as much sleep as possible. There wasn't a whole lost to watch on TV at this time of night except for infomercials, so there really wasn't any point in me staying awake. I was however awoken several ties throughout the flight due to some light excessive turbulence. Normally I'm all for turbulence, but when your trying to sleep, It's actually pretty annoying! I still managed to get about 2 hours of sleep in during the flight. I was however pretty disappointed because I was sitting on the wrong side of the plane in order to get some nice sunrise pictures. We touched down at Logan Airport in Boston at about 8 AM EST and then took a bus home, were I would find it very hard to not fall asleep!
