China has issued a strong warning to Japan over repeated nuclear safety incidents and what it calls accelerating militarisation under Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Speaking in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian flagged safety lapses at Japanese nuclear facilities, including concerns linked to Fukushima-related operations, and urged Tokyo to accept international oversight to protect the marine environment. Beijing also criticised the United States for imposing tariffs on Chinese companies, warning that such moves disrupt global supply chains and undermine the semiconductor industry. China said it will take firm countermeasures if Washington continues on what it called the “wrong path.” The remarks come amid rising regional tensions, with China accusing Japan of challenging the post-war international order and threatening peace and stability in East Asia. #ChinaJapanRelations #NuclearSafety #Fukushima #JapanMilitarisation #ChinaUS #TradeTensions #AsiaGeopolitics #GlobalSecurity Mint is an Indian financial daily newspaper published by HT Media.
