(15 Jul 2014) Hundreds of students protested on Tuesday in Indian-administered Kashmir against Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Protesters held placards and chanted anti-Israel and anti-America slogans in Srinagar, the main city in Indian-held Kashmir. They also marched with banners reading "Kashmir Stands for Gaza", "Stop Killing Muslims" and "Hell with Israel". "It's our duty to protest against the atrocities that Israel has been doing on Gaza. They have been killing one month old children. I mean, what kind of humanity is this?," said student Shaid Bhat. The fighting between Israel and Hamas shows no signs of slowing, despite international calls for a cease-fire. Hamas rejected an Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire with Israel on Tuesday. Since the outbreak of cross-border fire on 8 July, more than 190 Palestinians have been killed and millions of Israelis have been exposed to rocket fire.
