Dr. Jordan Sand, a double board certified facial plastic surgeon, outlines recovery expectations for brow and eyelid procedures. He explains that an endoscopic brow lift uses small hairline incisions to release ligaments and elevate the entire brow, with about 7–10 days of downtime and some forehead puffiness managed with a wrap, noting Botox has reduced the need for this procedure. A lateral (tail) brow lift uses a small hairline incision, is often done under local anesthesia, has minimal bruising or swelling, and typically requires little to no time off, with hairline sutures removed in about a week. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty involves sutures for about a week, brief puffiness and redness, minimal bruising, and many patients return to work within a couple of days. Full lower eyelid blepharoplasty often uses internal incisions and laser, with roughly 7–10 days of puffiness and possible mild bruising, sometimes aided by hyperbaric, herbal, or peptide treatments. Combined procedures typically recover in 7–10 days, with the lower eyelid as the limiting factor. 00:00 Eyelid Recovery Overview 00:17 Endoscopic Brow Lift 00:58 Lateral Brow Lift 01:29 Upper Blepharoplasty 02:16 Lower Blepharoplasty 02:37 Speeding Up Healing 02:51 Combining Procedures 03:11 Final Recovery Notes
