Today I took on my longest handcycle ride in a long time — a full 28-mile round trip to see the iconic Angel of the North “I wasn’t sure if 30% assist would be enough for 28 miles… and turning back wasn’t an option.” So I was excited… but also nervous. Riding that distance means carefully managing battery, so I had to limit myself to just 30% pedal assist to make sure I could get there and back. This ride had everything: – Off-road trails – Busy roads – Peaceful parks – River views – And plenty of mental battles along the way – Even an old Victorian garden It wasn’t just about reaching the Angel.
