We could not have been more excited to experience the magic of this canyon paradise in person and it did not disappoint. Despite the cold temperatures in Hidalgo at this time of year, we happily soaked in the therapeutic properties of the thermal waters in the mountain. In this Mexico travel vlog, we also experience the turquoise-colored river of Tolantongo. We found out that it has this beautiful color because of the minerals in the water. On our last day in Grutas de Tolantongo, we made the "grand finale" a trip to the main gruta, or "grotto" in English. Again, Tolantongo did not disappoint us with this mysterious cave filled with the source of the warm thermal waters. It was the perfect experience for another cold morning in Hidalgo.
