Chalke and Cheese is a 200km Audax cycle ride that happens every January from near Bristol. This film about the ride has been made by award-winning photographer and film maker Fergus Coyle as part of a long term project to capture the essence of audaxing; with its ethos on community and self reliance. His film shows riders starting out from Warmley Station along the Bristol to Bath Railway Path and through the Two Tunnels under Combe Down, into Wiltshire and down the Wylye Valley to Ginny’s, then to Wilton. It then head over to the Chalke Valley, and after a couple of iconic climbs, Shaftesbury. The return leg via Wells takes in Cheddar Gorge dropping down The Mendips to the Chew Valley and the finish at Bridgeyate. The event was one of the Great Western Randonees - full details here https://pedalution.co.uk/events/chalk.... Why not visit www.Audax.UK to find an inspiring ride near you?
