Clam Blitz is the newest of the four Ranked Battle styles. It was introduced during Splatoon 2's lifespan, and its rules are generally the same in Splatoon 3. You and your teammates need to gather some clams. You can even throw them at each other to build up someone else's collection. Once you get 8 clams, they fuse into a big football that you have to toss at the opposing team's basket. The basket will be protected by a barrier, but the football will bring it down for a few seconds. You will score some points for doing this, but you can score extra points and extra time without the barrier by tossing more normal clams into the basket. Once the barrier is back up, you'll another 8-clam football to bring it, down, again. Be wary that the clams you can find throughout the stage will not last forever. They will eventually snap and break. You can also lose clams and footballs in a few seconds after you get splatted.
