A look at the African-American experiences in women's gymnastics Corrinne Tarver is the Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. She has worked in higher education for almost 14 years prior to coming to Fisk University. In her role as Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach, Ms. Tarver is charged with all operations associated with the historical launch of the Fisk University gymnastics program, the first ever gymnastics program at an Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
