In Super Mario Bros every pipe looks the same but some of them leads to somethiing special, a secret part of the level. Most of the time it's just coins in the bonus stage but some have power ups as well and some even have enemies to dodge if you want all the coins. There is a total of 14 bonus stages throughout Super Mario Bros that are showcased in this video. Not every level has a bonus stage and one level has 3 of them. Warp zones are not included in this video.
