Hello everybody. "A Trail to Paradise. Another Secret Beach in Portugal - Praia da Ursa" this could be a very good suggestion for another title to this vídeo. Summer is coming to an end and there is no better way to celebrate this event than going to the beach. As always, before telling the brief review of our day, here's the vídeo time line. 00:00 – Arriving the street to Praia da Ursa 07:22 - Now starts the trail downhill 14:29 - Things get more dificult 19:50 - Arrival at the beach sand 20:26 - Exploring the right side of the beach 27:22 - Exploring the left side of the beach 28:36 - Let's try diving in the sea (impossible, too many strong waves) 32:11 - Cheers to you my friends. (Lets open our promised bottle of wine) 34:55 - Time to go back and start the climb 35:38 - Middle of the climb 36:25 - Arrived on top Praia a Ursa A secret beach that is difficult to access, like many that exist in Portugal. Praia da Ursa got its name due to the shape of one of the rocks that looks like a bear. It is close to Cabo da Roca or Cape Roca wich is a cape which forms the westernmost point of the Sintra Mountain Range, of mainland Portugal, of continental Europe, and of the Eurasian landmass. This beach is in the district of Lisbon, municipality of Sintra, parish of Colares. One of our follower friends asked me in one of the comments which of the two secret beaches was the best, Praia Ribeiro do Cavalo or Praia da Ursa. I had just been to Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo, in fact it was our debut video on the channel which you can see here at this link • Discovered A Paradise In Portugal ! Ribeir... . But as I had never been to Praia da Ursa I couldn't help in comparison terms. So taking advantage of the fact that summer is coming to an end, we went to say goodbye and visit the famous and secret Praia da Ursa. Well, in truth, it's not really a secret beach anymore, given the number of people we saw on the way to the beach. From toddlers, 2/3 year olds, people over 60, there was a huge diversity of people. Which indicates that if the person has some agility, mobility and strength, they can complete the route. To make it a little easier, I will try to evaluate the two beaches, in each of their characteristics, but from my point of view, it can obviously be a different evaluation from each person's point of view. Lets rate from 1 to 10 each of the these points: Access roads between Lisbon and the beach -------------------------------- PRC - 9 / PU - 7 Access to the beach via trail ----------------------------------------------------------- PRC - 6 / PU - 4 Water conditions (clarity and sea swell) ----------------------------------------- PRC - 8 / PU - 7 Beach sand and cleanliness ------------------------------------------------------------ PRC - 9 / PU - 9 Alternative means to get to the beach (by boat) ----------------------------- PRC - 10 / PU - 0 Natural beauty --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRC - 7 / PU - 9 Size of the beach area --------------------------------------------------------------------- PRC - 6 / PU - 9 TOTAL: PRC - 46 / PU 45 Legends: Praia Ribeiro do Cavalo - PRC ** Praia da Ursa - PU As you can see there is a little difference between the two beaches, and I swear I did not carry out a controlled assessment to give this value. But regardless of the total assessment, both beaches are very pleasant, so what I think the most important factor to take into account is the access conditions to the beach. Many people may want to go to the beach and may not be physically able to get there. Rise Again Portugal Map (Location): https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/2/edi...
