http://www.THISISWALDER.com I recently got to sit down with GBE member SD after his meet and greet at F As In Frank in Toronto. We kicked it and talked about a bunch of topics starting with what he thinks of the city and how he tells the rest of his crew back in Chicago what its like out here. I also asked him about the time it was like when he realized that rap is his full time job where he says, "Its something I do just cause of the fact I like the shit. Then it got to a point where you got people that wanna see you do the shit now. I can't let certain people down so I gotta do some shit." SD then continued stereotyping Chicago as a "screw face capital" where he says no one wants to see you win especially young gang-banging teenagers like GBE. You guys do know they changed the game though right? Onto his new mixtape "Life Of A Savage 3." The biggest track on that project is arguably "Overdose" featuring RiFF RAFF. He talked about linking up with him where he tells a story of him coming to the crib to do a verse for Chief Keef while he was on house arrest, then hitting him up a few months later wanting to work with him on something. RiFF RAFF tweeted while he was in Toronto the day before that they were shooting a video for the collaboration but SD confirms that it didn't happen yet. If you are curious as to what he is listening to besides his own music, he opens up about liking songs that are hits because they are hits and you can't discriminate against it. He says that Gucci Mane, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa have plenty play counts on his iTunes as well. Don't expect to find anything embarrassing on his iPod though cause he ain't into that goofy shit. After he failed to think of any weird encounters with his crazy fans, he said that no one in the game smokes like "us" and if he got to name his own strand of marijuana, it would probably be called some, "SD shit." What's next for the young Chicago trapoholic? A new mixtape with Gino Marley and his album which he says is coming at the beginning of next year. @thisisWALDER @ThisIsWalder @SD_GBE300 Thanks to @iluvlola for setting up the interview!
