Worm Bin Tip: How I dry out castings instantly!

In this video, I take a look at the castings that we removed from our fourth inground garden worm tower, which we harvested two weeks ago. These castings sat outside in warm late summer weather for almost the entire two weeks without a lid, but on examination I still find them to be clumpy and almost muddy. I decide to condition the castings using some of my pulverized dried leaves. Although it’s hard to see on camera, the dried leaf powder instantly creates fluffier castings that can be more easily spread in our garden. I’ve used these pulverized leaves in worm bins that I feel are getting a little too moist with similar excellent results.
