Urban Exploring Tesco in Chatham a few days before it closed. http://beno.org.uk/urbex/chathamtesco... History.... 1970s - Tecos was built. It has nice grotty 70s architecture. The lifts are O&K lifts (with 70s Dewhurst buttons). 1990s - Car park levels 5 - 7 are closed. The ramps going up there were blocked off very securely. The lift buttons were replaced with ugly Dewhurst. 2010 - The lifts were sadly modernized by Otis. 2012 - Level 4 had become very grotty. There was pigeon poo everywhere. Also the local drug dealers used to hang out here. Due to this problem, car park levels 3 - 4 were closed, and the ramps leading there blocked up. 2015 - Tesco closes. Note: As always, I never cause any damage to property, and I always leave everything as I found it. The only thing I am interested in is the achievement of getting into abandoned places that nobody goes.
