Ti Maria is a quirky restaurant in the heart of Tavira known for its generous-sized tapas and unique sangria. Could this be the best tapas spot in Tavira? We’re here to find out! We started our meal with a classic Caiparinha and a Pink Gin & Tonic, setting the tone for a delicious journey. We split our tapas into two rounds. The first included a Tuna Tartar—a unique blend of raw tuna, sweet chili, honey, walnuts, and rocket. It was delicious, but the Tempura Octopus stole the show, paired perfectly with a smooth sweet potato puree. 🍽️ Our waiter, Alison, recommended trying the Melon Sangria and Mint Sangria made from a secret recipe. Both drinks passed the “check test” and tasted amazing. For round two, we tried the Rump Steak with lime-zested mashed potatoes and ended with a hearty Bruschetta on ciabatta bread with ham, goat cheese, honey, and rocket. To finish off our lunch, we sipped on Medronha—a potent local drink made from the fruit of the strawberry tree. Ti Maria is an absolute gem, offering affordable prices and a great atmosphere.
