Today my friend Leo joins me in showing you how to paraphrase in IELTS Speaking (Part 1). Like many of my students, he wasn’t sure how or what to paraphrase. Paraphrasing is actually quite simple, especially if you’re aiming for an upper-intermediate band (6-7). You don’t need to show a perfect use of paraphrase, and you also don’t need to paraphrase nouns in questions. A great example of this is when Leo tried to paraphrase “Seafood”...
