Shooting for Season 4 of immensely popular web series Panchayat ended some time ago. JIST team was visiting Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh. A chance visit to the Mahodiya village barely 9 kms from Sehore revealed that while the Season 4 is likely to premier on Amazon Prime within the next 20 days, the crew hasn’t packed up and taken away their equipment and props. They are stored in a rented space in Mahodiya village. Why? Because soon shooting is likely to start for Season 5 of the popular popular comedy-drama series Interestingly in the series while the action plays out in the fictional village of Phulera in Uttar Pradesh, the series is actually filmed on location in Mahodiya in Madhya Pradesh. For the filming of each season, the 'Panchayat' team along with their props and actors set up camp in Mahodiya village of Sehore. The panchayat office in Mahodiya village is transformed into a shooting set where Phulera and its cast come alive.
