Bariatric surgeries is a surgery we do for obesity. Whenever the individual is fat they do bariatric surgery. There are many varieties of Bariatric surgeries. One of them is a gastric bypass surgery. What happens in Bariatric surgeries is we reduce the digestion of the foods, that is the foods are bypassed n the gastric b[ass surgery. In Bariatric surgeries we do sleeve gastric resection. That is we remove the stomach size and quantity of food we eat is reduced, whereas in gastric bypass surgery, we not only reduce the size of the stomach, we also bypass the foods. Most of the foods we eat is not completely digested but it mixes with the digestive juices at a distant place and this is the reason why the individual looses excessive weight. So depending on the body mass index we decide which surgery is good for the individual. For extremely obese patient we do gastric bypass surgery because we need an extra method for the individual to lose weight. So this is the reasons we do a bypass surgery. So in a gastric bypass surgery, the individual looses a lot of weight and the recurrence of the obesity is very less with the bypass surgery compared to sleeve resection because in sleeve resection the stomach will stretch again and the individual starts eating more food but in less BMI patent we still prefer sleeve recession.
