WEN 9" Bandsaw Review

Our bandsaw projects have been extremely popular, but some viewers have commented that they can't afford a bandsaw. So we went looking for the least expensive bandsaw that (1) had the capacity to handle our projects and (2) could still be considered a decent tool. This is what we found: The WEN has a 9" throat, 3-1/2" depth-of-cut, a ductile steel frame, cast aluminum wheels and table, and a small-but-adequate induction motor. There are a few pieces and parts we thought could have been made better, but these can be easily rehabilitated. Most important, bandsaws depend on careful tuning to run properly. The WEN has all the allignments and adjustments necessary, and they are fairly easy to access and operate. With a little patience, you can get this saw to cut just as easily and accurately as one costing hundreds of dollars more.
