How to turn hundreds of tons of wood into charcoal. -------------------------- Do you know how charcoal is produced? The process begins with farmers in China selecting hard woods such as eucalyptus, acacia, or pine, as they produce high-quality charcoal. After harvesting, the wood is cut into small pieces to be easily stacked in the kiln. The wood is then transferred to brick kilns with high arched roofs, where it is stacked vertically to optimize space. Once the stacking is complete, the kiln's door is sealed with bricks and clay to create an oxygen-deprived environment, allowing the wood to burn slowly. The burning process lasts from several days to a week. During this time, farmers must continuously monitor the kiln's temperature, adjusting it to ensure the charcoal burns evenly and reaches the desired hardness. When the burning is finished, the charcoal is allowed to cool naturally before being moved to the sawing area for cutting into smaller pieces. Finally, the charcoal is packaged and distributed to the market. The finished charcoal is black, hard, and durable, used in various fields such as cooking, heating, and industrial production, providing a stable income for the farmers.
