In this video, I’m sharing a wrap-up of the seven books I read in January — spanning horror, nonfiction, memoir, and a classic. As both a reader and a therapist, I found myself engaging with these books through a reflective, emotional lens, and I was surprised to discover an unintentional but fascinating theme that several of them seemed to share. I talk through my reading experience with each book, what stood out to me, and whether or not I’d recommend it. My ratings this month range from 2 to 5 stars, and one of the memoirs discussed was written by someone very close to my family, which made for an especially meaningful reading experience ☺️ If you’ve read any of these books, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! I’m also always open to book recommendations, especially if we seem to have similar taste. If you enjoy reflective reading discussions and think we might be bookish kindreds, I’d love for you to consider subscribing 😊 Goodreads / holly 🕰️ Chapters: 00:32 Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte 07:59 Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton 12:55 Women Without Kids by Ruth Warrington 18:44 When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy 22:50 Educated by Tara Westover 26:44 Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield 28:42 Misfires by Raymond Verrier Thanks for being here ❤️
