Mt. Samat National Shrine, Pilar, Bataan April 9, 2025 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the nation in commemorating the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Dambana ng Kagitingan in Mount Samat National Shrine, Pilar, Bataan on 9 April 2025. This year’s theme, ‘Kabayanihan ng Beterano: Sandigan ng Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas,’ highlights the pivotal role of veterans in shaping the country’s progress and aligns with the Administration’s vision for a stronger, more resilient nation. To honor this occasion, the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), in collaboration with other government agencies, are spearheading the observance of Philippine Veterans Week from April 5 to 11. It features a series of nationwide activities designed to recognize the patriotism of veterans and foster a sense of unity and resilience among Filipinos.
