Landing at V Beach, Gallipoli: The 1st Royal Munsters, two companies of the 2nd Royal Hampshires and a company of the 1st Dublins, landed from the SS River Clyde. The black and white landing footage is from the film 'Tell England' (1931), which re-enacted the landings. It's mixed with one or maybe two documentaries from the 1980s. I was given a VHS video cassette by my Dad, which he'd recorded from the TV. His Dad, my grandad, was one of the troops landing on 'V' beach from the River Clyde. He was in the Munster regiment. Dublin and Hampshire regiments were also part of this landing party.
