It's Been a Long, Long Time - Brass Quintet

"It's Been a Long, Long Time" is a World War II era jazz standard by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn. My arrangement is based on the 1945 version by trumpeter Harry James, recorded with vocalist Kitty Kallen. I've chosen to feature the trombone alongside the lead trumpet. Thank you to my brother Sam, who recorded this chart with me. It's always his beautiful trombone tone that I hear in my head when I am arranging - it's a joy to hear it brought to life.
