We start with Paulus Hector Mair and why his Peasant staff is a way longer and heavier then a regular baseball bat. We then will have a quick look about a contemporary method of fighting with the dussak by Joachim Meyer. But because we are doing here 19th cent. martial arts, we have a look at the stick and staff play by the German Turner Jacob Happel with an honorable mention of George Herbert the father of the method natural. Finally we swing the baseball bat in the way Pierre Vigny taught the cane at the Bartitsu academy of arms in London for self defense.
