Happy Birthday! (In All 7 Modes) - Fun with Music Theory

Hi everyone! In anticipation of some music theory content I have been recording for this channel, here is a fun video showing all 7 modes, as represented in the "happy birthday" tune. I hope you enjoy the weirdness! Let me know which happy birthday mode was your favorite, and which one was just too weird! "Modes" are scales that are built off of the seven different notes in a major scale, also called ionian mode. There are 7 modes, corresponding to the 7 notes in the major/ionian scale. They are: ionian, dorian, phrygian, lydian, mixolydian, aeolian, and locrian. In this video, I have transposed each of those modes to use the same tonic (starting) note, and have shown you with accidentals how the scale changes from mode to mode.
