I have made a convertor which not only allows a single-phase supply to be tapped from an industrial 415v three-phase-and-neutral socket, but also converts over to another pin configuration and plugging standard. This one converts from BS EN 60309-2 over to BS 546, 15A. The plug is a 5-pin three-phase and neutral, rated at 16 Amps and as such, when connected into an industrial wall socket, it has access to two voltages: 415 volts, phase-to-phase and 240 volts, any phase-to-neutral. Taking advantage of this plug's ability to access a single-phase domestic voltage without the use of heavy and expensive transformers or invertors, I made a three-phase to single-phase convertor. BONUS !! It would also be possible to have a 'blue' 16A, 240v coupler on the end of the flex, as an alternative to the BS 546 socket. :-) There we go, peoples! Thanks for watching, -BoomBoxDeluxe.
