Kalauoa Falls | Hiking in Hawaii

This trail is located off of the Aiea Loop Trail. About 10 minutes in you will see a side trail on your right hand side. You take that trail and follow it until you come upon a mango tree. It's ribboned and marked. You make a left here and this is where it gets kind of hairy. It is a steep decline all the way down to the bottom of the stream bed. Be careful! Good hiking shoes are a must and lots of bug spray! We sprayed ourselves but my daughter managed to get a bug bite on her eyelid towards the end of the hike. I do not recommend taking littles on this one unless you are a very experienced hiker. We underestimated the difficulty of this hike, but my husband was ok with carrying our daughter. Once, you get down to the stream bed, you just follow it upstream. There are many stream crossings, most are ribboned. It doesn't matter too much you can pretty much just follow the stream to the falls. The falls were absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you for watching this video!
