Day 3- COVENANT NOT CONVENIENCE

We are now on DAY 3 of our congregational prayer and fasting— “Covenant, Not Convenience? Worshipping during a fast does the following: Fasting quiets the noise. Worship lifts your eyes. Together, they create a powerful posture of surrender. Let us take a moment to honor and worship God. Our Scripture is Malachi 2:10. Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors? Family was never meant to be built on convenience or shifting emotions—it was designed by God to be held together by covenant. From Eden onward, God established relationships rooted in loyalty, sacrifice, and steadfast love. Covenant means choosing one another even when it’s difficult, loving beyond feelings, and staying committed because God is faithful. When families embrace covenant, they reflect God’s heart: spouses stand together, parents guide with love, siblings remain connected, and households honor God as one. Covenant doesn’t avoid challenges—it outlasts them. It doesn’t depend on perfection—it loves through imperfections. In a world where commitment is fragile, God calls families to be living examples of His unshakeable faithfulness. As you fast and pray today, ask God to strengthen the covenant bonds in your home and give you grace to love with endurance, forgiveness, and unwavering commitment. Reflect on this: How can I show covenant love today? For our prayer concerns, please refer to pages 13 and 14. Father, thank You for designing family as a covenant, not a convenience. Strengthen our commitment to one another, help us love beyond feelings, and give us grace to stay faithful even when it’s difficult. Let our homes reflect Your steadfast, covenant-keeping love.
