After overcoming stressful family matters, Danielle assumed her gastrointestinal issues were her body’s response to stress. However, her stomach pain got worse and worse and she just "felt off." With ongoing constipation and abdominal pain, her husband encouraged her to go to the doctor. Her primary care physician referred her to a specialist which led her to get a colonoscopy that revealed she had a 7-centimeter tumor in her intestine. She was then diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer cancer which later turned into metastatic, stage 4.
