Time attack of Huge Crisis Act 1 in Sonic Rush, with Sonic, in 1:13.38 ran on my new 3DS XL capture card. Good run! This stage is both significantly easier and faster with Sonic than Blaze thanks to not needing to do a frame perfect trick, since Sonic is the more shortcut-oriented character in this game. 0:04 - Tight jump here to avoid the loop and overhanging wall 0:16 - Boost management is very tight here. I need to make sure I have enough boost to clear an upcoming jump and plow through the enemy at 0:21 0:26 - I wait at the start of the stage a bit for these pistons to line up. There's a faster strat involving landing on the fitst piston while it's done, but I opt for a more consistent cycle where I rub under the first piston and jump on the second. 0:45 - Trivially easy skip with Sonic. Blaze's version is ridiculously hard.
