Along the way, we are able to discover that, as many suspected, there was indeed a time where the balcony overhead the clinic's main open space had been planned to be traversible, but this was discarded in the process of creating one of FROMSOFTWARE's most iconic "looping back" shortcuts throughout their entire game design history. We also see early builds of Bloodborne demonstrating the process through which this iterative design took place. I hope you find this interesting.
