Star Citizen Alpha 4.7 PTU has introduced major changes to armor durability, and the results are honestly surprising. In this video I went into the PTU to test how well the RSI Perseus armor holds up against some of the heaviest fighter weapons currently available. The ships used in this test were: • Ares Ion • Ares Inferno • Guardian equipped with 2x Size 5 M7A cannons The goal was simple: see which ship can actually break through Perseus armor effectively. The results were pretty shocking. The Ares fighters — Ion and Inferno — performed significantly better, confirming their role as true capital and heavy ship hunters. Compared to them, even the Guardian with dual S5 weapons struggled to match the damage output against heavy armor. If these numbers stay the same, the Ares Ion and Inferno may become the ultimate heavy fighters for taking down armored ships in Star Citizen 4.7.
