Make subtle yet impressive style statements in your home with simple floral arrangements. In this video, Interior Stylist and Author Nico De Swert demonstrates easy to make professional-looking flower bouquets for Pottery Barn. Nico shows how to make the popular 'tussie-mussie' or Brussels bouquet. He makes this flower arrangement with slender-stemmed white carnations and silvery dusty millers. He starts off by gathering the single stemmed carnations in a bunch and ties them with a waterproof floral tape to hold the flower arrangement in place. Next, Nico borders the beautiful silver gray dusty millers around the carnations much like a cuff. For sizing, he suggests cutting of excess stem length by measuring it against the Pottery Barn Square Vase and binding the flower bouquet with aluminum wire to hold the flowers firmly. To finish the look, Nico adds an elegant touch by tying up the carnations with simple textured lace ribbons at the two ends of the stems.
