Process video of making oil paint from pigment PG23 by hand. From prepping oil to tubing DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional paintmaker. I am only documenting my process. Always use a mask when working with powdered pigments. I have also altered my method a little since this. I no longer add calcite (or VERY LITTLE) to the pigment to extend it. It tends to harden in the tube after about 6-8 months with some colors when calcite is in it. I prefer to add it (if needed) when I am actually in the painting process.
