In this video, I’ll teach you about the amazing, compact, affordable, traditional Japanese BBQ - the SHICHIRIN. It’s an entirely different way to grill meat, fish, veggies, and even desserts, and their small size makes them ideal for occasional use or to pack into the car for outdoor adventures. I’ll also share my recommendations for charcoal and other accessories to grill Japanese foods such as yakitori, atsuage, aji-no-mirin, yaki onigiri, and more. I’ll even teach you about how to get a set of stainless steel rods cut to size so you can control grilling and rotate skewers like a master. Where to start? Pick up a shichirin, charcoal, and other accessories at a home center. If you’re in Kyushu or Yamaguchi Prefecture, visit any of the 64 Gooday stores – so, watch the video to see everything I use and how to make yummy yakitori. And as a bonus, I also explain how to use the kakigori machine (shaved ice maker) that I found at Gooday to make a frozen cocktail! Use the chapter index below if you can’t wait.
