This week we are adding signs and railings to the boat dock at Strebel Springs. We also are hoisting Old Glory on the hill above the passenger depot. All that remains to do at Strebel Springs is finish the pond, now to be the lake. As the freight house now features a boat dock, Unk's Boat Rentals, and Gus Riche's Lake Shore Lodge, all of this at a pond measuring about 90 feet across seems a bit silly... so we are expanding to off the layout implying the pond is a small part of a large lake. Karyn has also built a flag pole and memorial on top of Camel Hill above the passenger depot, so I am building a stairway to the memorial as well as adding spotlights to light the American Flag (48 stars) as we will be leaving it up all night requiring it to be well lit! Some of what we are referencing here is Gus Rich and the guys at Bear Lake in Utah-Idaho. Gus was a friend of the Bambergers and had hundreds of pieces of railroad artifacts in his lodge. The Rich family even had the county named after them. The "rest of the story"... • Gus Rich's lakeshore lodge - And an old wa... Al on pine tres... • Al's Scale Pine Trees
